If people believe in God and allow His Spirit into their hearts, they can overcome anything that life throws at them. There is a wealth of influence, energy, creativity, ingenuity, and strength at your beckoning. This unbelievable inner strength and power are what we refer to as the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost.
We have all heard of the Father, who is God, the Son, who is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, which is God’s power in each of us. Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.” Things will become much easier when you realize you have this inner strength and allow it to help guide you. This Godly Spirit will help you untangle seemingly impossible situations, it will help support you in your efforts, and show you things you possess that you never knew you had. This Spirit will conquer your worse fears, allow you brilliant thoughts, and show the creativity that you have never even considered. The Holy Spirit will immerse you in glorious feelings and allow you the pleasure that would otherwise never be experienced. Recognizing and allowing God to work in your life will be life-changing and maybe life-saving. This Spirit can help you fight life’s battles and defend you from demons attacking you. Psalm 55:22 reinforces this idea by stating, cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Men make the mistake of thinking that they can take care of themselves. We think we are tough and smart and do not need anyone to help us. We can do whatever we want because I am a Man. Well, the truth is that we cannot do anything and do it right without God’s help and guidance. When we allow God into our lives, things become easier. If we surrender to the power, wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy Spirit, we can experience confidence in every aspect of our lives. The Holy Spirit is God’s power that resides in each and every one of us. This power can guide us, keep us informed, encourage us, show us opportunities, and help us live fulfilled lives. When we listen to the Spirit within us, we can overcome the demons that cause sadness and pain. We must remember that anytime we do not listen to the Holy Spirit within us, the devil is always ready to take over and ruin our lives.
When you ignore the Holy Spirit that is within you, it creates an opportunity for the devil to work in its place. The devil will place demons in your life, and it is easy to give into these temptations like alcohol, drugs, gambling, immoral sex activities, and deviant behavior. Isaiah 14:12-15, Second Peter 2:4-10, and Luke 8:30 describe these demons and how they will take advantage of you. Demons will confuse the truth, make evil look good, and make good look evil, as in First John 4:4. These demons can take on any shape and form to influence human behavior. Demons will ask that you idolize them and allow them to become your God, as in First Corinthians 10:20-21. We have to make many choices every day. If we listen to the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we will make good and honorable choices. If we listen to the demons in our heads, we will make horrible choices and have to pay the consequences. Ephesians 6:1-18 describes the tools necessary to battle the demons that the devils have sent to ruin your lives. With prayer, truth, righteousness, faith, and a belief in the Bible, we can enjoy the spiritual armor that God has given us in the Holy Spirit.
James 4:7 tells us to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” First Peter 5:8 warns us, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Everyone is tempted to follow the wrong path, and we all have demons. It is up to us to either give in and stay miserable following the devil or repent and follow the path God has laid for us. Ephesians 6:10-18 answers our question, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
