Mediation and Conflict Resolution is a very personal and private matter. I am extremely concerned and diligent in maintaining confidentiality. The sole purpose of mediation is to allow both sides of an issue to present their personal concerns, their true beliefs, and reach a conclusion that allows both sides to feel good about the outcome. By exploring all the possible solutions Mediation allows for “win win” outcomes. Once a matter is taken to court there is a guarantee that someone will win and someone will lose.
Trained mediators can be a great asset to management in training employees to communicate and avoid work-related disagreements. Millions of hours and millions of dollars are wasted or never earned because of the time wasted and ideas never realized because of work place conflict. Group or individual attention to troubled employee(s) is beneficial in the short term to ensure the employees’ productivity and ensures retention of good employees saving the company recruitment and training cost.
Trained mediators must be well versed in court procedures, divorce and custody matters, parenting plans, and all family court matters. Long term agreements coming out of court will affect the child and the family for many years to come. It is always better to have as many issues agreed to before appearing in court to attempt the best possible “win-win” situation. Once the court issues their opinion, it is too late in many cases. One side or the other always wins and one side always loses.

No person shall act as a Rule 31 Mediator without first being listed by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission (ADRC). To be listed, Rule 31 Mediators must be approved by the ADRC and must comply with the qualification and training requirements set forth by the ADRC. All training must have been approved by the ADRC.
