Charles Stanley described our schools, our churches, our communities, and all of societies woes when he said, “Too many Christians have a commitment of convenience. They’ll stay faithful as long as it’s safe and doesn’t involve risk, rejection, or criticism. Instead of standing alone in the face of challenge or temptation, they check to see which way their friends are going”. This problem goes beyond Christians and includes most everyone from all beliefs. No one wants to stand up for anything unless they are insulated by the approval of their peers. No one takes the time to find out the facts or to educate themselves about what it is they are for or against. Ignorance, politics, and ungodliness are leading the mob.
Yesterday, all across America, schoolchildren walked out of class to show unity for those killed in the recent school shooting. What started out as a decent jester of respect turned into an excuse to show the world just how ignorant, uninformed, and hateful our young people have become, not to mention showing how broke and cowardly the school systems have deteriorated too. Yesterday was a celebration of ignorance and the loss of the moral compass that used to guide our country. Very few students involved in these exercises could tell you what they were honoring or as it turned out protesting. Most Schools systems and students were hijacked by anti-American anti-gun groups pushing their agenda which had nothing to do with the deaths in Florida. It was an excuse to get out of class and run wild for no apparent cause. Please know that some schools were able to maintain control and actually conducted memorial services that were respectful and dignified. We should hold these school up and applaud them and give them the attention that they deserve, but the news media chooses to celebrate the children jumping up and down on the police car, stomping the American flag, and being arrested as if their behavior was something to be proud of. In a perfect world the Principles, teachers, and parents would have stopped this before it started and if it did occur, those students taking part would have suffered extreme consequences. Unfortunately, the inmates are now running the asylum and all that use to be authority has given up in the name of political correctness which is another name for cowardliness. Principles and teacher are afraid of the students, their parents, and of being sued; parents want to be their children’s friend and are afraid to parent because it might hurt their child’s delicate feelings.
These children that are turning over police cars, stomping the American flag, eating soap, and hiding in their safe place are the future leaders of our country. We have taken prayer out of school, we condone abortion, we allow our veteran to starve and sleep on the street, we celebrate cop killers, and we are giving our country to immigrants that have no intention of assimilating. They say that the pendulum always swings too far before correcting itself. We need to pray that this pendulum correction is soon to come. 2 Timothy 1:7 states, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” With faith and Gods help Parents will start to parent, Teachers will have the courage to teach, Principles will have strength and wisdom to lead, and society will stand up to the malcontent and criminal.
Excellent write-up. I definitely love this website.
